answer text <p>The Communication Directorate employs 86 full-time employees in London on press and public relations, including promotion of the UK overseas. This number does not include Communication Directorate staff who work solely on functions other than press and public relations (e.g. internal communications, service transformation etc.).</p><p>The FCO also employs staff in press and public relations roles abroad, but as these details are not held centrally this information could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.</p><p>i) The number of press and public relations employees who earn more than £50,000 in the FCO is: 18</p><p>ii) The number of press and public relations employees who earn more than £100,000 in the FCO is: 0</p><p>iii) The total expenditure on the central communication function (not including staff costs) by the FCO in 2014/15 was: £1,883,791</p> more like this

answer text <p>Defra is in the midst of a transformation programme which is yielding significant reductions in communication staff.Defra currently employs 41 full time staff to deliver press and public relations. Nine staff are paid over £50,000 per annum. No staff are paid over £100,000 per annum.</p><br /><p>Our controls on communication spending have saved over £1million in 2015/16. answer text <p>The number of press and public relations staff employed in the central Department on 1 January 2016 was sixteen (all full-time employees). Four of those staff have annual salaries over £50,000 and none are over £100,000.</p><br /><p>The total of 16 staff compares to an equivalent figure for the central Department in 2009/10 of 19.</p><br /><p>The total expenditure on press and PR staff and related services in 2014-15 was £1,266,000.</p><br /><p>Overall communications expenditure by the central Department in 2014-15 was £22 million lower than in 2009-10. Across Government the government communications profession reduced communications spending by a total of £1 billion during the last Parliament.</p> more like this

answer text <p>We continue to emphasise to the Afghan Government that any Afghan-led political settlement involving the Taliban must protect the progress made in Afghanistan and respect Afghanistan’s constitutional framework, including protection for women and minorities.</p><p>A durable political settlement requires recognition from the Taliban that Afghanistan has changed in the last decade. answer text <p>The Prime Minister's office, Privy Council office, Office of the Leader of the House of Commons, Office of the Leader of the House of Lords, and Government Estates Management are integral parts of the Cabinet Office and are included in the part of the response below that refers to the main department.</p><p>The government publishes information on the job titles, pay grades, and the pay costs of civil servants on a twice yearly basis. The latest Cabinet Office organogram is available at <a href="https://data.gov.uk/organogram/cabinet-office" target="_blank">https://data.gov.uk/organogram/cabinet-office</a> and the latest structure charts may be downloaded at <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/cabinet-office-structure-charts" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/cabinet-office-structure-charts</a> .</p><p>The Big Lottery Fund employs 14.5 (FTE) press and public relations staff in its England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales offices. These staff are focused on raising awareness of Lottery funding and funding opportunities for communities through local and national media and other communications channels. Of those staff, 2 are paid more than £50,000 and none more than £100,000.</p><p>The total audited costs of running the press offices in the Cabinet Office and the Big Lottery Fund are unavailable on the grounds of disproportionate cost.</p><p>The Crown Commercial Service, the Civil Service Commission that also includes staff working for the Commissioner for Public Appointments, and the Senior Salaries Review Body, employ no press and public relations staff.</p><p>Across government, the government communications profession saved £330 million for taxpayers last year compared to 2009 to 2010 - by making its campaigns more cost effective.</p><p>This means that we reduced communications spending by a total of £1 billion during the last Parliament.</p>
