answer text <p>We cannot divulge the payments made under the COMPASS contracts for reasons of commercial sensitivity.</p><p>However, the costs of the COMPASS contracts were anticipated at the time of procurement to be £172 million in the North West of England, and £82 million in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
