The costs of onshore wind have fallen dramatically and are around 50% cheaper than in 2015. The British Energy Security Strategy set out that the Government is serious about delivering cheaper, cleaner, more secure power, and will consider all options for increasing onshore wind deployment in ways that local communities will support. The Government, together with the expertise of Ofgem as the independent market regulator, is continuing to look at reforms to energy markets to ensure that they deliver secure, low carbon and low-cost energy to all consumers.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is also working to develop its Strategy and Policy statement (SPS) for energy policy in Great Britain. This is supporting trials of new approaches to accessing climate finance underway in Bangladesh, Fiji, Jamaica, Uganda and Rwanda, responding to national priorities set out by these countries.</p><p>At COP27, the UK announced that £7m from the overall commitment will support Rwanda's new Green Investment Facility. In Uganda, the UK has helped establish a new Climate Finance Unit within the Ministry of Finance. The scan containing MA data was run a month ahead of schedule and therefore reflected an incomplete count.</p><p>Since discovery, suppliers have implemented safeguards to prevent a reoccurrence.</p><p>Data for the next data point, August 2022, were created successfully using the new safeguards and will be released at 9:30 on 14 February 2023.</p><p>Provision of this data is core funded with an internal Service Level Agreement with no financial compensation in the agreement. This is available for total gas/electricity consumption, as well as the median gas/electricity intensity (which accounts for the size of the building, which can vary considerably).
