DFID provides technical assistance and financial support directly to countries, including Commonwealth governments. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/05/2019 answer text <p>Silicosis, along with coal workers pneumoconiosis and asbestosis are the most common forms of pneumoconiosis which is a prescribed disease within the Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB) scheme. Pneumoconiosis cases not specifically identified as asbestosis or coal workers’ pneumoconiosis are mainly silicosis and the annual numbers of such cases newly assessed for IIDB over the last ten years are shown in the table below. Of these annual cases, those associated with the construction industry are also shown.</p><p> </p><p>The number of silicosis cases within the IIDB scheme is likely to be lower than the true incidence of this disease. In our Housing White Paper, ’Fixing our Broken Housing Market, we recognised that there is a fundamental need to do more to ensure that more homes suitable for older people are being built as part of our overall ambition to increase housing supply. It also expects them to assess the types of specialist housing needed for older people, and reflect this in their planning policies. The specific types of housing that this can include is not prescribed.</p><p>We will publish new planning guidance shortly that will provide advice to authorities about implementing this policy, in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Act commitment. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/05/2019 answer text <p>The Government’s Resources and Waste Strategy for England published in December last year sets out our plans to reduce plastic pollution and move towards a more circular economy. This builds on the commitment in the 25 Year Environment Plan to eliminate all avoidable plastic waste.</p><p> </p><p>Our priority is to prevent or reduce waste in the first place. The Packaging (Essential Requirements) Regulations already require businesses, including online retailers, to ensure that all their packaging does not exceed what is needed to make sure that the products are safe, hygienic and acceptable for both the packed product and for the consumer. As part of the Resources and Waste Strategy, we have committed to review the effectiveness of these regulations by the end of next year. These regulations apply to those responsible for the packing or filling of products into packaging and those importing packed or filled packaging into the UK from elsewhere.</p><p> </p><p>We are also consulting on reforms to the way we manage packaging waste. The reforms to the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations will require producers to fund the full net cost of managing the packaging they place on the market, once it becomes waste. This creates an incentive for companies, including obligated online businesses, to use less packaging and to ensure that their packaging can be recycled at end of life as it will reduce their costs in complying with the regulations.</p><p> </p><p>We have set out in our consultation options for how we want to enhance the incentive for producers to make better packaging design choices. The options are for a modulated fee system or a deposit fee system. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/05/2019 answer text <p>All workers, including workers on zero-hour contracts are entitled to receive paid annual leave.</p><p> </p><p>In 2017, the Unpaid Britain report found that 1.8 million workers are missing out on £1.8 billion each year, in unpaid holiday leave.</p><p> </p><p>The Government wants to ensure that all workers, regardless of the hours they work, receive the paid time off they deserve. This is why the Government recently ran the ‘It comes with the job’ advertising campaign encouraging workers to understand their rights and employers to understand their legal obligations. Government has also developed new guidance, available on GOV.UK, to help workers and employers understand holiday pay policy and entitlement. Both the campaign, and the guidance were aimed at atypical workers, which includes workers on zero hours contracts.
