At present there is predicted to be sufficient capacity in the market, although the availability of such insurance will always depend on the circumstances at the time. That is why we have given the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) an objective to promote effective competition in the interest of consumers. The FCA regulates the conduct of financial markets so that they work well and consumers get a fair deal.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We have also created the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to oversee competition in markets including the insurance industry. Of the five recommendations, family escort teams have been implemented. Of the remainder, what was recommended is largely current policy already including use of force which is subject to review.
