Section 251 data gathered by the Department for Education shows that between 2012/13 and 2015/16 total local authority spending on youth services has reduced by 36%.</p><p> </p><p>Local authority spending is only one part of the picture: many local authorities are creating new partnerships and models to respond to the changing funding landscape. They are undertaking public and patient engagement on that basis. Details of all engagement events they have held can be reviewed on the individual partner websites.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, the partners are also establishing an STP wide patient and public engagement steering group to help shape and improve STP-wide engagement.</p><p> </p><p>The STP Dashboard was published in July to provide an initial baseline view of STP performance. Upon publication, Sussex and East Surrey STP were rated in ‘Category 4- Needs Most Improvement’. NHS England intends to update the dashboard annually to enable progress to be tracked, and outcomes to be measured.
