answer text <p>The construction period for Phase 2b of HS2 is 9 years, from 2024 to 2033. No detailed work has been done to look into the construction planning for stations that would be served by HS2 trains. During design of the scheme over next two years, and before the hybrid Bill is deposited, HS2 Ltd will make an estimate of the construction timescales for various elements of the programme.</p><p> </p><p>We do not provide cost breakdowns for specific items of the HS2 programme due to commercial sensitivities.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Department will not breach the mobility rules within employee’s contracts as part of proposals to relocate staff and services from the current Jobcentre at Eastern Avenue, Sheffield. If an employee were to move outside of their contractual mobility it would only be with their agreement. We expect all staff to be relocated to nearby offices. Individual meetings between local DWP managers and their staff began after the announcements on 26 January 2017 and this is an opportunity to discuss mobility or any other aspects of the proposals.</p><p> </p><p>We recognise that DWP staff are our most valuable resource and we will continue to ensure that there is proper consultation with them and trade unions.</p> more like this

answer text <p>HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) gathers information about who is within reasonable daily travel of the regional centres through one-to-one meetings which take place about a year before office closure. HMRC is committed to retaining all staff who can travel to another office where there is a skills match or that can be achieved through retraining, if that is right for the individual and the business. It aims to keep the number of exits to a minimum, but will fully support staff who leave the department.</p><p>Except for Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, the offices listed are not due to close until 2019/20 or 2020/21, and so one-to-one meetings have not yet taken place.</p><p>17 people based at Harrogate have left HMRC employment; 15 left on Voluntary Exit terms on 31 October 2016 and two left on Voluntary Redundancy Terms on 21 December 2016.</p><p> </p> more like this

At a local level, the Jobcentre in Rochdale suspended recruitment activity with JD sports in Rochdale pending the outcome of a DWP investigation into working practices following allegations made by a Channel 4 documentary.
