question text	To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon on 26 November (HL11345), whether they will now answer the question asked, namely what assessment they have made of the finding of the report of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq and the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Unearthing Atrocities: Mass Graves in territory formerly controlled by ISIL, published on 6 November, that from the beginning of 2014 until the end of 2017 ISIS committed atrocities resulting in approximately 30,000 civilian deaths and 55,150 injured persons.

However, we believe that the task of locating mass graves and holding perpetrators to account is not an issue for Iraq alone but one of global concern, which is why the UK led on UNSCR 2379 to establish a team (UNITAD) to collect evidence of Daesh crimes in order to hold members of Daesh to account for their actions. We are working closely with the team. However, it is clear that the scale of Daesh’s crimes against innocent civilians is horrific and marks an appalling period in Iraq’s history.</p><p>We are pressing the Government of Iraq to work closely with the UN’s Investigative Team for the Accountability of Daesh, as well as non-governmental organisations and other bodies working on this issue. The issue of mass graves in previously Daesh held territory was also discussed in my recent meeting with Karim Khan QC who is the Special Advisor to UNITAD. It reached over 8m people to increase the voice, choice and control of poor and excluded people in Pakistan. It included a focus on women and minorities to promote tolerance and inclusion. Beneficiary feedback from people who participated in interventions suggested a shift in attitudes towards minorities. The action plan sets out the initial practical steps that we will take to move the agenda forward within our own organisation and through the global system, focusing on four key levels of disaggregation - sex, age, disability status and geography. We have focused on these four in the first instance to reorient our approach and raise our ambition, which over time will ensure DFID is better equipped to disaggregate in a number of ways, including by minority group. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/12/2018 answer text <p>At the 24th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the UK is committed to bringing the Paris Agreement to life by agreeing a robust set of rules that will support its implementation, and to encourage ambitious action globally. As part of this, we will be supporting a Talanoa Dialogue that results in a firm commitment that all countries will review and update their Nationally Determined Contributions in light of discussions and latest science.</p><p>The UK’s deep commitment to tackling climate change will be unchanged by EU Exit. The UK will continue to be a leader on both domestic and international climate action, backed up by our strong domestic legislation and international climate finance commitments. Working with our European partners will remain very important and the UK will continue to engage strongly and proactively with multilateral groupings such as the G7, G20 and the Commonwealth. We have strong relationships with a broad range of Parties in the UNFCCC, including through progressive alliances such as the High Ambition Coalition and the Cartagena Dialogue. Furthermore, we continue to support others to implement the Paris Agreement.
