The fee is set at an affordable rate (£65), less than the cost of a UK passport.</p><p> </p><p>We value the significant contribution made by EU citizens working in the Civil Service and we want these colleagues to continue to play a full role in the work of the Civil Service. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/12/2018 answer text <p>The Home Office ensures asylum seekers are not left destitute by providing appropriate support under section 95 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999. The support package usually consists of free, furnished accommodation (with utility bills and council tax paid) and a weekly cash allowance to meet other essential living needs. This is why the Government committed to safeguard the post office network and protect existing rural services. The overall number of post offices across the UK remains at its most stable in decades with over 11,500 branches thanks to significant Government investment of over £2 billion since 2010.</p><p> </p><p>While the Government sets the strategic direction for the Post Office, it allows the company the commercial freedom to deliver this strategy as an independent business. Franchising is an operational matter for the Post Office. I have therefore asked Paula Vennells, the Group Chief Executive of Post Office Limited, to write to the hon Member on this matter. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/12/2018 answer text <p>For eligible claims to UC Full Service due a payment in September 2018, 53% (474,000 claims) had a deduction (including to repay advances, for fraud penalties, and for other deductions, but excluding deductions for sanctions).</p><p> </p><p>The information for claims with deductions above 10% of their standard allowance is as follows:</p><p> </p><p>a) 7% (60,000 claims) of all Universal Credit Full Service eligible claims had deductions at 40% of the Standard Allowance;</p><p>b) 13% (114,000 claims) of all Universal Credit Full Service eligible claims had deductions above 30% of the Standard Allowance;</p><p>c) 24% (213,000 claims) of all Universal Credit Full Service eligible claims had deductions above 20% of their Standard Allowance;</p><p>d) 39% (347,000 claims) of all Universal Credit Full Service eligible claims had deductions above 10% of their Standard Allowance.</p><p> </p><p>Claim numbers are rounded to the nearest 1,000.</p><p>NOTE: These claim figures may not match official statistics caseloads due to methodological differences.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>At Autumn Budget 2018 we announced we will reduce the maximum rate at which deductions can be made from a Universal Credit award from 40% to 30% of the standard allowance, from October 2019. Additionally, from October 2021, the recovery period for advances will increase from 12 to 16 months.
