answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/07/2017 answer text <p>The report <em>Air pollution in the UK 2015</em>, which was published in September 2016, reported all four locations to be compliant in all air pollutants levels with the exception of the mean annual concentrations of nitrogen dioxide (NO<sub>2</sub>) that were all reported to be above the 40 μg/m<sup>3</sup> limit value.</p><p>The 2015 national air quality plan for NO<sub>2</sub> showed the highest projected mean annual concentrations of NO<sub>2 </sub>to be 42 μg/m<sup>3</sup>, 41 μg/m<sup>3</sup>, 43 μg/m<sup>3</sup> and 35 μg/m<sup>3 </sup>in 2020, for the respective air quality zones for Nottingham, Southampton, Derby and Bath. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/07/2015 answer text <p>The Prime Minister has written directly to Ken Roth of Human Rights Watch following the publication of the report and we are currently considering its findings. The Government remains firmly of the view that the only sustainable solution to the crisis in the Mediterranean is to address the reasons why people risk their lives, to combat the organised criminals who entice them to do so, and not simply by tackling the problem once it reaches the EU.</p><p>The issue of migration in the Mediterranean was high on the agenda of the European Council. The European Commission proposals on relocation and resettlement were discussed at the Council as well as return, readmission, reintegration and cooperation with countries of origin and transit. Many of the initiatives discussed are welcome but other elements such as the relocation of asylum seekers within the EU risk exacerbating the situation and we therefore do not support them. With regard to resettlement proposals, the Government remains committed to resettling vulnerable refugees under existing national schemes and has no plans to be part of a separate EU quota scheme.</p><p>On the matter humanitarian visas for the purpose of seeking international protection within Europe, there is little evidence that providing opportunities for a small number of migrants to travel legally from source countries will have a significant impact on the very large numbers of migrants who want to come to the EU.</p> answering member printed Lord Bates grouped question UIN HL761 question first answered 03/07/2015 14:00:22 answering member 1091 label Biography information for Lord Bates

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2014 answer text <p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Modern Slavery Stakeholder Forum was set up in February 2014 and has met three times. Its pre-cursor, the Joint Strategic Group, was set up in early 2013 and also met three times. The Modern Slavery Stakeholder Forum provides an opportunity for the Home Office to engage with partners, understand what is happening on the front-line, and develop policy collaboratively. Non-Governmental attendees have the opportunity to engage with officials and Ministers, and to influence policy making. <br><br>The minutes of these meetings are made available to all attendees and are public documents available to anyone who requests them. However, it is not considered appropriate to place the minutes of each meeting in Library of the House.<br><br>The invite list for these meetings is subject to regular review and attendance varies depending on the availability of those invited and the topics for discussion. At the last meeting of 10 June 2014, 16 public officials attended which included officials from the Home Office, other government departments, law enforcement agencies and the devolved administrations. 20 representatives of non-governmental organisations were invited of whom 15 attended.
