[1]</p><p> </p><p>Data on aircraft movements, including for business aviation and air taxis, are published by the Civil Aviation Authority. [2] These data are not collected from all UK airports, just those handling scheduled and major charter services, and so provide only a partial picture.</p><p> </p><p>APD is the Government’s principal tax on the aviation sector, since tickets are VAT free and aviation fuel incurs no duty. APD is paid by aircraft operators on a per passenger basis for flights departing UK airports; there are different rates according to a passenger's class of travel and the distance of their journey.</p><p> </p><p>Operators with aircraft of over 20 tonnes equipped to carry fewer than 19 passengers must pay the higher rate of APD, equal to £78 per passenger for domestic and short-haul flights and rising to £601 for ultra-long-haul flights. The Government’s more immediate priority at that time, as stated in the response, was to review the offence of using a hand-held mobile phone while driving with a view to making it more comprehensive. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/01/2020 answer text <p>We remain at the forefront of the humanitarian response to the crisis in Syria, and have committed £2.81 billion to support Syrian civilians since 2012.</p><p>Sanctions remain a key lever in pressing the regime to engage seriously with the political process and to bring about a peaceful end to the Syrian conflict.</p><p>We actively seek to minimise the impact of sanctions on ordinary Syrians. The EU regularly considers the wider impact of Syria sanctions, most recently ahead of an EU annual review of the Syria sanctions regime which concluded in June. We recognise the benefits of using well designed natural ventilation where appropriate, including to reduce energy costs and prevent the spread of infection, as set out in World Health Organisation guidance on standards of infection control in health facilities.
