<p>The Army, as lead command for small arms and light weapons, is conducting several projects to deliver new and/or enhanced personal and other weapon systems across Defence, including the replacement of the legacy SA80 Individual Weapon for front line troops. This includes use as the main weapon for guard duty on gangways on board Royal Navy ships.</p><p> </p>
