<p>On 31 March 2014, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) employed 4,951
full time equivalent staff compared to 5332 on 31 March 2019. The increase is largely
attributable to the DVLA bringing its IT services in-house in 2015. The DVLA has also
increased the number of staff working in its Drivers Medical section to cater for
increases in medical notifications.</p><p> </p><p>Specific information on average
processing times for customers in Northern Ireland is not readily available. The information
could only be retrieved at disproportionate cost as it would require the interrogation
of all vehicle-related transactions to identify those specific to Northern Ireland
customers.</p><p> </p><p>All DVLA performance measures and achievement against those
