answer text <p>From 2018-19 to 2022-23, Blue Belt spend has been £7 million, £5.4 million, £6.9 million, £7.7 million and £7.7 million respectively. The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) does not keep the detail of funding specifically devoted to Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). Defra's MPA team is funded through general administrative budgets to deliver management, monitoring and enforcement working alongside Defra's Arms Length Bodies.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Spot checks undertaken in the last 12 months have been targeted where we were aware that a contracting authority had previously not complied with a part of public procurement regulations, and where contracting authorities are not advertising tender opportunities on Contracts Finder appropriately.</p><p> </p><p>Therefore the majority of spot checks undertaken in the last 12 months have resulted in the Public Procurement Review Service providing guidance to the relevant contracting authority at some point. We did not provide guidance on the spot checks that were classed as following up recommendations from our investigations, these contract authorities had already received the guidance in the form of a recommendation.</p> more like this

answer text <p> </p><p>DFID is supporting the Nigerian government to reduce instability in the north-east of Nigeria, helping to provide a more stable and secure environment for schools to operate. This approach includes DFID Nigeria's Stability and Reconciliation Programme which promotes conflict resolution and supports local organisations to tackle violence against women and girls. DFID also supports the Presidential Initiative for the North East which is promoting economic recovery and meeting basic needs, including education.</p><p> </p><p>DFID's education programme operates in eleven states in Nigeria, including the north-eastern state of Bauchi. Here DFID is working with UNICEF and the state government to improve girls' access to better education.</p><p> </p> more like this
