answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/07/2023 answer text <p>The estimated cost of the proposed new lighting installations for the Terrace is £361,488.</p><p>Work will take place over the Summer to install LED lighting and controls on the Terrace. This will allow Parliament to mark chosen events by lighting up the Palace façade.</p><p>The current lighting system is not powerful or flexible enough, so we are required to bring in a specialist each time to do a temporary installation. This also means that we can only commit to certain events. The new system will give us flexibility and allow us to respond more speedily to emergent events, should Parliament wish to.
