answer text <p>When proposing major changes to ticket office opening hours, including closures, operators are required to take into account the adequacy of the proposed alternatives – such as ticket vending machines – in relation to the needs of all passengers.</p><p> </p><p>Train companies have now opened consultations, and industry plans for the installation, replacement or upgrading of ticket vending machines will be finalised once consultations have concluded.</p> more like this
