<p>No changes have been made since the consultation to procurement of vaccine for
the existing seasonal flu programme, which are ordered directly by general practitioners
from manufacturers or suppliers. However, vaccine for the programme for children aged
two to 16 years, which began in 2013 and is being rolled out progressively, has been
centrally procured. Experience of the childhood flu immunisation programme will help
inform consideration of arrangements for procurement of influenza vaccine more widely.</p>
