answer text <p>Forecasts of future number of sea farers for 2011-2031 were published in the <em>Seafarers Statistics 2011</em>. This followed the publication of <em>An independent review of the economic requirement for trained seafarers in the UK</em> for the Department for Transport which estimated the future supply of and demand for officers, ratings and ex-seafarers for 2016 and 2021.</p> more like this
