answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/03/2024 answer text <p>The Department sets the legislation that governs the Blue Badge scheme and provides guidance for local authorities who are solely responsible for administering the scheme.</p><p> </p><p>Current legislation provides local authorities with the means to tackle abuse of the Blue Badge scheme locally, such as the power to retain and cancel badges found to be stolen.</p><p> </p><p>Data on the number of Blue Badges stolen in the last 12 months are not currently available. The latest published statistics show that in the year ending 31<sup>st</sup> March 2023, 1700 Blue Badges were reported stolen in England. The figures reflect cases that have been recorded in the Blue Badge Digital Service database. Freight traffic over the line has declined with the reduction in coal extraction and power generation and the Department looks to the Network Rail-led industry planning process for guidance on whether change is appropriate.</p><p> </p><p>Additionally, however, through the recently launched £500m <em>Restoring Your Railway</em> initiative, the Department for Transport has invited MPs, local authorities and community groups across England and Wales to propose how they could use funding to support ambitions to reinstate axed local passenger services and restore closed stations. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/12/2015 answer text <p>The Coalition’s military efforts in Syria are an important part of the strategy to cut off Daesh oil revenues. The UK has launched strikes targeting Daesh oil facilities in Omar oil field. In total, Coalition airstrikes have damaged or destroyed over 260 oil infrastructure targets so far, taking out crucial Daesh oil facilities and convoys. The UK has led international efforts to make it illegal for any state, company or individual to trade in oil and oil products with Daesh, including co-sponsoring UN Security Council Resolution 2199 in February 2015. The Chancellor was in New York on 17 December for the first ever meeting of Finance Ministers at the UN Security Council to strengthen the sanctions regime against Daesh.
