We endorse the statement of the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General of 9 April and continue to call on all parties to the conflict in Yemen to exercise restraint, comply fully with international humanitarian law and implement the Stockholm Agreement without delay in order to improve the humanitarian situation in Yemen.</p> more like this

answer text <p>UK military personnel are tackling Houthi missile attacks through engagement with many countries including Saudi Arabia, Sweden, and other members of the United Nations, bilaterally and through the Headquarters in New York. The UK Defence Attache also accompanied my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary on his visit to Aden at the beginning of March 2019.</p><p>The UK remains committed to supporting the legitimate security needs of Saudi Arabia and guarding against the danger of regional escalation. However, the UK is not a member of the Saudi-led coalition and we do not have any role in setting coalition policy.</p> more like this

answer text <p>If any activity occurs that is suspected of being non-compliant with international humanitarian law, we will raise this with the relevant authorities and will expect them to investigate it fully and swiftly, and to take action if any wrongdoing is found to have occurred.</p><p>The UK joined the consensus on the UN Human Rights Council resolution that established the Group of Eminent Experts. The Resolution mandated a group of eminent experts to examine the human rights situation in Yemen. The UK believes it is important to give the Group of Eminent Experts more time to fully examine the conflict and to ensure that their conclusions accurately reflect the conduct of all parties in future reporting. In September 2018 we supported the renewal of the existing mandate of the Group of Eminent Experts for a further year.</p><p>​</p> more like this
