We do not have any role in setting Coalition policy, or executing air strikes in Yemen. We continue to emphasise to all members of the Coalition the vital importance of compliance with international humanitarian law (IHL), press for action to address the humanitarian crisis, and encourage all parties to engage in the UN-led political process in good faith.</p><p>The UK regularly encourages Saudi Arabia to conduct thorough and conclusive investigations into reports of alleged violations of international humanitarian law. The British Government does not have information on which weapons have been used for specific air strikes. The UK is not a member of the Saudi-Led Coalition and we do not have any role in setting Coalition policy, or executing air strikes in Yemen.</p><p>The UK will not issue an export licence to Saudi Arabia, or any other country, if we assess there is a clear risk the items might be used in the commission of a serious violation of International Humanitarian Law. Details are available in the official statistics published by the Department for International Trade at <a href="http://www.gov.uk/government/collections/strategic-export-controls-licensing-data" target="_blank">www.gov.uk/government/collections/strategic-export-controls-licensing-data</a>. We cannot categorically state which, if any, items exported under these licences have been used in Yemen. All decisions to approve export licences are considered on a case-by-case basis against the Consolidated EU &amp; National Arms Export Licensing Criteria (Consolidated Criteria). We will not license the export of items to any country where we assess that there is a clear risk that they might be used in the commission of a serious violation of international humanitarian law. The UK has not been directly involved in investigations undertaken by the JIAT.</p><p>We welcomed the Cessation of Hostilities from 19 - 22 October. It is critical that all parties to the conflict renew their commitment to the Cessation of Hostilities for the sake of the people of Yemen.
