<p>Last year the UK provided protection assistance, including primary healthcare services,
legal assistance and support in response to sexual violence to over 200,000 internally
displaced people (IDPs) through our funding to the International Organisation for
Migration and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.</p><p> </p><p>On
24 February, the Prime Minister announced that the UK will provide an additional £200
million in response to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen for the next financial year
(2019/2020). This includes continued support to people displaced by conflict, and
brings the total UK commitment to Yemen to £770 million since the conflict began in
2015.</p>
