answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/05/2019 answer text <p>Through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) we are supporting those who have been injured by violent incidents through physical rehabilitation centres, as well as those who have been displaced from their homes with food, health care, psychosocial support and legal assistance.</p><p> </p><p>We routinely pre-position supplies through our partners including World Food Programme and UNICEF, as well as through the UN Rapid Response Mechanism where it is judged conflict might affect populations. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/05/2019 answer text <p>We are acutely aware of the difficult operating environment humanitarian organisations face delivering life-saving assistance in Yemen. As a result we only channel support through organisations with a strong record of delivering and monitoring assistance, such as UN agencies and international NGOs.</p><p>To identify the most vulnerable, UN agencies use a range of tools such as household level assessments. Some, like the World Food Programme, use technology such as biometric verification to confirm that those most in need are being reached.</p><p>Through UK diplomatic channels we press authorities to facilitate aid delivery. This can include getting visas issued or travel permission granted for certain areas.</p><p>Earlier this year the UK brought together heads of UN agencies and lead donors to determine how to better coordinate on the ground to deliver the right interventions at the right time to the most vulnerable. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/04/2019 answer text <p>The conflict in Yemen has exacerbated the specific vulnerabilities faced by women and girls across the country, with the number of incidents of gender-based violence reportedly rising by more than 60% since the start of the conflict in 2015.</p><p> </p><p>The UK continues to support women and girls through UN agencies which does not include the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) at this time. Since 2017 we have supported 1,700 survivors of gender-based violence across Yemen as part of our £13 million funding to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and International Office for Migration, and as part of the UK’s more than £75 million in funding to UNICEF over the next three years, we expect to support 240,000 women each year with reproductive health services, including support during childbirth.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is also providing £39 million from 2015 to 2020 to a UNICEF/UNFPA Global Programme taking action against Child Marriage in twelve priority countries, including Yemen. Over the past three months, the average total commercial and humanitarian imports into Yemen met 90% of the country’s food needs and almost 80% of fuel needs.</p><p> </p><p>We are acutely aware of the restrictions humanitarian actors face delivering aid across Yemen, particularly in Houthi-controlled areas. We channel UK funds through UN agencies and international Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) with a strong record of delivering and monitoring assistance. We are aware of reports of frontline incidents and skirmishing but these remain low. We urge all parties to support and facilitate the UN’s efforts and to implement the redeployment of forces in Hodeidah as agreed during the Stockholm talks. As we have consistently made clear, the Coalition must ensure that any further military operations in and around Hodeidah are conducted in accordance with international humanitarian law and do not disrupt commercial and humanitarian flows.</p><p>The impact of the violence around Hodeidah on commercial and humanitarian access is one of the main reasons behind the UN’s warning of the growing risk of food insecurity in Yemen.
