answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/09/2019 answer text <p>The Prime Minister announced in his speech on 27 July that the Government will bring forward plans on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. We will consult on the design of the fund and welcome input from across the UK.</p><p>The UK Shared Prosperity Fund will invest in the foundations of productivity as set out in our modern Industrial Strategy to support people to benefit from economic prosperity, especially in those parts of the UK whose economies are furthest behind.</p><p>In the meantime, stakeholders can continue to invest with confidence and certainty. Final decisions on the quantum and allocation of the Fund will be decided during the Spending Review this year.</p><p>In his Written Ministerial Statement of 24 July 2018 on Local Growth, HCWS927, the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government was clear the UK Shared Prosperity Fund will be a simplified, integrated fund that tackles inequalities between communities, by raising productivity. Further, due to the Government’s guarantee for EU-funded programmes, UK organisations, including those in Wales, will receive funding in the unlikely event that the Withdrawal Agreement is not ratified.</p><p> </p><p>The UK’s exit from the EU provides us with an opportunity to reconsider how funding for growth across the UK is designed and delivered. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/11/2018 answer text <p>As we committed to in the written ministerial statement of 24 July 2018 (HCWS927), we have begun engagement with devolved administrations, including the Welsh Government, ahead of the public consultation, intended for later this year. This engagement began in September 2018 when HM Government officials held initial meetings with their counterparts in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Wider engagement with external stakeholders across the UK is ongoing.</p><p>We intend to consult on the design of the United Kingdom Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) later this year and encourage all interested parties to contribute their views. Final decisions on the detail and operation of the UKSPF will be made following the Spending Review in 2019.</p><p>In the meantime, we understand places around the UK require certainty of funding after we leave the European Union. We are confident that a negotiated agreement will be reached and that we will continue to take part in the 2014-2020 EU programmes until they end.
