Before decisions are made DWP statisticians need to make sure that the data is accurate and fit for purpose. When a decision has been made and as each publication is ready, we will pre-announce the improvements in 2015 in accordance with the UKSA release protocols.</p> more like this

answer text <p /> <p>My response relates to Work Capability Assessments.</p><p> </p><p>The reasons for making special payments are not routinely recorded and to provide the requested information would incur disproportionate cost.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>We are continuing to work closely with Atos under the current contract and process claims as quickly as possible. DWP’s aim is to continually improve the Work Capability Assessment process and help bring down waiting times for claimants.</p> more like this

Claimants who consider their assessment has been delayed by Atos or Capita should in the first instance take this up with the relevant company, who each have their own complaints process. If the complaint cannot be resolved, complainants will be signposted to DWP’s independent complaint tier, the Independent Case Examiner (ICE). If the ICE upholds the complaint, they will recommend redress for any impact on the complainant, in line with DWP policy on <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/309964/financial-redress-maladministration-apr-14.pdf" target="_blank">Financial Redress for Maladministration</a></p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this
