answer text
We do not speculate on future sanctions. In conjunction with our partners, we have already blocked access to £275 billion of the Russian Central Bank's foreign currency reserves. We are considering all options on assets that have been seized and whether they can contribute towards to the reconstruction of Ukraine. Where assets are subject to an asset freeze, their release may be permitted through a licence from the Office for Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI). OFSI can only issue licences where there are specific and relevant licensing grounds enabling them to do so, and where the conditions in those grounds have been met in the relevant sanctions regulations. OFSI also has powers to issue general licences under such conditions as HM Treasury deems appropriate.
more like this

answer text
The Government updated guidance on sanctions relating to Russia on 24 June, which can be found on gov.uk. The guidance details all changes made since the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 came fully into force on 31 December 2020.

The situation in Ukraine and Russia will continue to change. This may involve further sanctions which could affect UK business. Businesses should continue to check the guidance on our gov.uk website at https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/uk-sanctions-on-russia to ensure their business activities are compliant with the current sanctions against Russia. We recommend businesses consider taking legal advice after reviewing the legislation & guidance.
more like this

answer text
The UK Government publishes the UK Sanctions List, which provides details of those designated under regulations made under the Sanctions Act. The list also details which sanctions measures apply to these persons and in the case of UK designations, provides a statement of reasons for the designation. HM Treasury's Office for Financial Sanctions Implementation provides a consolidated list of persons and organisations under financial sanctions, including those under the Sanctions Act and other UK legislation. Both lists include additional identifying details, where this information is available, to assist with the identification of a Designated Person. This includes date of birth, nationalities, addresses, and any name variations or aliases.
more like this

answer text
With our allies we have introduced the most significant economic sanctions that Russia has ever faced and they are having an impact. Since the invasion, the UK has sanctioned over 1,000 individuals and 100 entities, including hitting Putin's inner circle, oligarchs with a net global worth of over £117 billion under the Russia sanctions regime. Sanctions imposed by the UK and its international partners are having deep and damaging consequences for Putin's ability to wage war, with 60% (£275 billion) of Russian foreign currency reserves currently frozen. Analysis shows Russia is heading for the deepest recession since the collapse of the Soviet Union. We will continue to put more pressure on Putin's regime, including through further sanctions.
more like this
