answer text <p>Our analysis shows that there will be an increase in police pensions contributions cost due mainly to the proposed change to the discount rate that is used to assess the current cost of future pensions liabilities.</p><p>My Department is working closely with the police sector to understand the impact of the proposed changes and to ensure that we make the right funding decisions to support frontline services.</p><p>The Home Secretary and Chancellor have regular discussions covering a number of issues including the potential impacts of changes to the pension scheme.</p> more like this
