<p>The Police Reform and Transformation Board (PRTB), whose membership is taken from across policing including Police and Crime Commissioners and Chiefs Constables, through a police-led process makes recommendations to the Home Secretary on forces’ bids for the Police Transformation Fund (PTF). The Home Office carries out an assurance exercise before the Home Secretary makes final decisions on funding.</p>
