<p>New development should demonstrate high quality design, reflecting the character of the local area. Our consultation, “Planning Reform: supporting the high street and increasing the delivery of new homes,” invites views on how the use of local design codes could help to improve the design quality of upward extensions to existing premises to create new homes.</p>
