<p>We can confirm that applicants into the Faraday Battery Challenge’s fourth competition
of collaborative research and development funding will be notified by Friday 30<sup>th</sup>
April 2021. The announcement of the successful projects will follow.</p><p> </p><p>Batteries
for electric vehicles are an important part of the Government’s plans for green growth,
levelling up across our country and driving emissions to net zero by 2050. The Government
is investing £320 million through the Faraday Battery Challenge to put the UK at the
global forefront of the design, development, manufacturing, and recycling of electric
batteries. This fourth round of innovation funding will continue to support exciting
UK businesses in the development of these technologies, generating further jobs and
investment in this critical area.</p>
