answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/09/2017 answer text <p>The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) was formed as part of the machinery of government changes in July 2017, by merging parts of BIS and parts of DECC.</p><p>The BEIS 2017 pay award has not yet been agreed, so details of staff pay increases are not available for this year.</p><p>It is also not possible to provide accurate information for pay increases for staff (a) above, (b) at and (c) less than one per cent for each of the former departments other than at disproportionate costs. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/02/2017 answer text <p>The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) was created on 14 July 2016. The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) were merged to create this new department.</p><p>The Civil Service publishes pay information including mean and median pay broken down by various characteristics for each department including DECC and BIS.
