answer text <p>The Department does not directly commission non-pharmaceutical treatments for people with dementia. Local National Health Service and social care commissioners should consider the needs of their local population when commissioning services for people with dementia.</p><p> </p><p>The Department is working to reduce the inappropriate prescribing of antipsychotic medication to people with dementia. In November 2013, the Department published an interactive online map to show members of the public, data on the quality of dementia care and support in their local area, which can be used to hold local organisations to account. The data includes how often antipsychotic drugs are prescribed to people with dementia.</p><p> </p> more like this
