That will not change when we leave the EU. We are working closely with colleagues across government to make sure that we have a regular dialogue with the sector as we prepare for leaving the EU.</p><p> </p><p>We are pursuing a deep and special partnership to ensure that UK companies have the maximum freedom to trade with and operate in the single market and to let European businesses do the same in the UK. BEIS is working closely with the chemical industry to understand the impacts resulting from UK’s exit from the EU. We want to minimise the regulatory and market access barriers for UK businesses, including for those in the chemicals sector. This will include REACH as well as other related chemicals regulation. This will mean that the standards established by REACH will continue to apply in the UK.</p><p> </p><p>We will continue publishing impact assessments to accompany legislation, where appropriate. This includes the REACH Regulation. The UK is strongly committed to the effective and safe management of chemicals.
