<p>Individuals who are of national security concern may be deprived of their citizenship
on the basis that to do so would be conducive to the public good under section 40
subsection (4A) of the British Nationality Act 1981 and section 40 subsection (2)
of that Act. The Government publishes statistics relating to the use of these powers
on an annual basis. The figure for January 2015 to December 2015 can be found in the
HM Government Transparency Report: Disruptive and Investigatory Powers, published
