<p>Entitlement to Widowed Parent's Allowance ceases if a surviving spouse or civil partner remarries, forms a civil partnership or begins living with someone in a relationship akin to marriage or a civil partnership. This is the same for civilian and non-civilian widows and widowers.</p>
