answer text <p>The growing importance of air freight in the UK supports the Government’s ambition to drive economic growth and increase the UK’s global impact through unlocking trading opportunities. The Air Freight sector including express aviation services operate almost exclusively in the private sector. We help express aviation services by working to ensure that our comprehensive Air Services Agreement (ASA) portfolio remains fit for purpose.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has recently published a consultation on 4 December on airport slot allocation system reform. The consultation is open until 8 March 2024 and we welcome views from all stakeholders including air freight operators. We also intend to consult during early 2024 on proposals for the next night flight regime at Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted Airports.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK and the EU have committed to seek an agreement on the future relationship for aviation that will secure market access rights for UK and EU airlines. The Government remains focused on ensuring our smooth and orderly withdrawal from the EU but has also been preparing to minimise any disruption in the event that the UK leaves the EU without a deal. Friend that the Government are working closely with the aviation sector to ensure that it continues to be a major success story for the UK economy. Ministers and officials in our Department and in the Department for Transport have met widely with representatives of the sector since the referendum in 2016, covering the full spectrum of issues affecting the industry.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government does not collect specific data on the frequency of incidents of commercial aircraft cabin and flight deck smoke, or fume events. As such, no estimates have been made.</p><p> </p><p>Serious incidents are counted amongst data for safety related events. In accordance with Regulation (EU) No 376/2014, safety-related events which endanger or which, if not corrected or addressed, could endanger an aircraft, its occupants or any other person have to be reported to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).</p><p>The Regulation requires that the reporting, analysis and follow-up to such occurrences remain confidential.</p><p> </p><p>However, the Regulation does permit information to be released on request to interested parties that have a genuine safety related need for the information. An application can be made at <a href="http://www.caa.co.uk/srg1605" target="_blank">www.caa.co.uk/srg1605</a>.</p><p> </p> more like this
