The results of this robust process are reported to senior military officers and Ministers. In addition, routine wargaming tests our force structures and assumptions and this is supplemented by events to test specific capabilities and scenarios. These activities support the maintenance of readiness in response to evolving threats. Although Defence is facing unprecedented challenges, for example with the crisis in Ukraine, our Armed Forces are rising to the challenge and supporting like-minded allies and partners around the world. Through Future Soldier, the Army will have a whole force of over 100,000 comprising of 73,000 Regular Service Personnel and 30,100 Army Reserve.</p><p>The Army is re-organising and re-equipping to face future threats, however, as the Secretary of State has stated, as the threat changes, we need to change with it. The British Army will be more integrated and active, with a whole force of over 100,000 regulars and reservists, to address the current and future threats from across the globe.</p><p>Whilst the regular Army reorganises to its new structure of 73,000, naturally this will result in workforce cost savings. This reduction has been estimated to present £3.9 billion in savings over the 10 years following the financial year 2021-22.
