The review involves contributions from both the Department for International Development and the Ministry of Defence. It is an opportunity for the Government to take into account recent developments in the field of Protection of Civilians policy, including work by states, international organisations, civil society and academia, and to consider a wide range of issues, including children in conflict zones. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/10/2019 answer text <p>The UK Ministry of Defence runs a bi-annual Human Security Advisers Course which educates UK and International personnel in the principles of UN Security Council Resolutions on Women, Peace and Security, Children and Armed Conflict, Human Trafficking and Protection of Civilians. The course also aims to train personnel in how best to implement these principles on operations. Since 2018, students from international militaries have included; Pakistan, Iraq, Malaysia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Somalia, Canada, United States, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.</p><p>In December 2019, the UK will also provide a Human Security export course in Uruguay. It is committed to ensuring that the outcome of the review is fully consistent with International Humanitarian Law, which does not draw distinctions between categories of civilians. The Government's approach will benefit all civilians, with a clear understanding of their diverse needs, and will reflect both the changing international landscape and complexity of many modern conflicts.
