answer text <p>The UK’s 50 largest value claims under the Single Payment Scheme (SPS) totalled £44,424,980 for the EU Financial Year 2013. answer text <p>The total Common Agricultural Policy allocation for the Basic Payment Scheme for England will be unaffected by the change in eligibility of land used for solar panels from 2015. There will be reductions in payments for English farmers who are currently claiming on land on which there are solar panels. In the future, they will not be able to claim BPS payments on this land.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The following documents have been placed in the Library.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In October 2013, alongside the public consultation, Defra published an evidence paper which assessed the impact of the new Common Agricultural Policy and the costs and benefits of payments made to farmers.</p><p> </p><p><a href="https://consult.defra.gov.uk/agricultural-policy/cap-consultation" target="_blank">https://consult.defra.gov.uk/agricultural-policy/cap-consultation</a>.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Since then a number of more technical implementation decisions were announced and on 11 December 2014 the Common Agricultural Policy Basic Payment and Support Schemes (England) Regulations 2014 No. 3259 were laid in Parliament.
