answer text <p>Wives and children under 18 of a deceased ARAP-eligible principal applicant are themselves eligible to relocate to the UK under ARAP, provided they can demonstrate that the death of the principal has had a direct impact upon the level of risk they face or their level of vulnerability. answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence oversees the relocation of Eligible Persons (EPs) to the United Kingdom under the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy (ARAP) scheme, working in close partnership with other Government departments.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the relocation process, the Ministry of Defence makes every effort to ensure that all EPs are medically fit to travel before departure, through work undertaken by His Majesty's Government’s (HMG) contracted medical advisor. When HMG are aware of pregnancy, flights are arranged to allow travel as quickly and as safely as is possible. This is, however, dependent on EPs disclosing their pregnancy, which we cannot guarantee.</p><p> </p><p>For the separate Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS), flights and travel assistance are arranged by the Home Office and its partners, including the International Organization for Migration.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Given the sensitivity of the security checks element of the process, we are unable to give precise numbers of individuals at each stage of the process.</p><p>We recognise there is a desire to give specific numbers and details of each cohort and their positions throughout the process of resettlement. This is a dynamic picture, which changes daily. It would not be helpful for those in Afghanistan for us to give a running commentary on numbers, which could draw attention to those preparing to cross the border.</p><p>For Pakistan, as of 4 September, there are circa 2030 ARAP eligible individuals, and circa 700 eligible individuals under ACRS Pathway 3.</p> more like this

answer text <p>We estimate there are 255 individuals with confirmed ARAP eligibility in Afghanistan (an estimated 1,950 including family members). All Principal applicants are over 18. We are unable to provide a demographic breakdown of family members.</p><p>Supporting the relocation of ARAP eligible persons out of Afghanistan and into the safety of third countries is a top priority. We are unable to provide details on onward travel or third country destinations for operational security reasons.</p><p>The hon. Member should note that the Afghan Citizen's Resettlement Scheme is a separate scheme to ARAP, which is administered by the Home Office and Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and is a Home Office lead overall.</p> more like this
