<p>We fully support the peace process led by the UN Special Envoy, Martin Griffiths,
and urge the parties to engage constructively with this process. An inclusive political
settlement is the only way to bring long-term stability to Yemen and to address the
worsening humanitarian crisis.</p><p>We welcome the Saudi announcement on 22 March
of a new peace initiative, which includes a nationwide ceasefire, the opening of Sana'a
airport and Hodeidah port, and a return to formal peace talks between the Government
and the Houthis. We urge the Houthis to engage constructively with the UN Special
Envoy to end this horrific conflict.</p>
