NHS Improvement, NHS England, the Care Quality Commission and officials from the Department have met and have agreed in principle to provide a joint response to the report. This response is being coordinated by NHS Improvement. NHS Improvement will consider their response to the Kirkup report at their public Board meeting on 22 March 2018.
