We recognise the valuable contribution that migrants make to our society by filling skills gaps in our labour market, and that the immigration system plays a part in supporting UK growth. The monthly allocation of places under Tier 2 (General) has been oversubscribed three times since December 2017. We keep all immigration routes under review to ensure that the system serves the national interest.
