<p>The first phase of the Contract for Difference negotiation for the Swansea Bay tidal lagoon project enables the Department to better understand the potential of a tidal lagoon programme in the UK.</p><p>We recognise the need to consider the strategic case for having multiple tidal lagoons in the Severn Estuary and the impact that this could have on the area.</p>
