<p>We know the National Health Service is facing increased pressure this winter and
that is why we planned earlier this year than ever before to put robust plans in place.
As announced in the Autumn Budget, this will be supported by an extra £335million,
on top of the previously announced £100 million for accident and emergency departments
and an additional £1 billion of funding to be spent on meeting adult social care needs
this year, supporting the social care market and reducing pressure on the NHS.</p>
