Discretionary housing payment funding is allocated to Local Authorities to help housing benefits recipients with both housing costs needs and the impact of housing welfare reforms. Details of the Government’s plans to continue Discretionary Housing Payment funding for Great Britain to the end of the Spending Review Period were stated in the Summer Budget 2015.
