The UK was the second fastest growing major advanced economy last year and since the start of 2010 the UK has grown by more than Germany and nearly twice as fast as France. The deficit has been cut by three quarters from its pre-crisis peak and the employment rate is the highest on record.</p><p> </p><p>The independent Office for Budget Responsibility provide the government with economic and fiscal forecasts for the UK economy twice a year.
