Whilst there is no commercial section at the British Embassy in Khartoum, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Department for International Development teams in country are working with Sudan on improvements to the regulatory and business environment to strengthen longer term stability. Sudan remains a challenging country in which to do business. We received 19 applications for funding from industry and local authority promoters and we then evaluated each bid against the qualifying and assessment criteria.
