answer text <p>Blacklisting is an unacceptable and illegal practice and we take any allegations of blacklisting very seriously. We have always encouraged anyone with evidence of blacklisting to come forward so that we can investigate. Any evidence of blacklisting should be referred to the Information Commissioner's Office. Individuals who believe they are being excluded from employment because of a blacklist should seek redress in the county courts in England and Wales, or Court of Session in Scotland.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government has not made any estimates by constituency, county or country of shares bought by Royal Mail staff.</p><p>As part of the Royal Mail Initial Public Offering, each eligible employee has now received 729 shares free of charge. Only 372 of the 147,000 eligible employees opted out of the scheme. Approximately 99.75% of employees accepted the shares that we offered them. Under the Employee Priority Retail Offer, over 15,000 employees (just over 10%) bought additional shares in Royal Mail.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The video games tax relief came into effect from 1 April 2014. This generous new relief will provide support for the growing video games sector in the UK.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>HM Revenue &amp; Customs (HMRC) are currently presenting a series of events across the country to promote and explain the new relief to the industry. A specialist unit has been provided to assist businesses with making claims. Guidance is available on HMRC's website to explain the relief and help businesses decide whether they are eligible for relief. HMRC are working closely with the video games industry to develop more detailed guidance, which will be published shortly.</p> more like this

answer text <p>I have been asked to reply on behalf of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.</p><p>The dates that the Notice of Underpayments (NoU) were issued for the 25 firms named and shamed for breach of the national minimum wage (NMW) are as follows.</p><p> </p><table><tbody><tr><td><em>Month</em></td><td><em>NoUs</em></td></tr><tr><td><p>December 2013</p></td><td><p>1</p></td></tr><tr><td><p>January 2014</p></td><td><p>9</p></td></tr><tr><td><p>February 2014</p></td><td><p>10</p></td></tr><tr><td><p>March 2014</p></td><td><p>4</p></td></tr><tr><td><p>April 2014</p></td><td><p>1</p></td></tr></tbody></table><p> </p><p>They were issued under the revised Naming Scheme which was introduced on 1 October 2013. It takes time for cases to work their way through the system as there is a process to follow before an employer can be named. If HMRC investigates an employer that is breaking NMW law they will be issued with a Notice of Underpayment (NOU) by HMRC. An employer has 28 days to appeal against the NOU and 14 days from when the case closes to make representations to BIS.</p>

answer text <p> </p><p>I have been asked to reply.</p><p>The Climate Change Act (2008) commits the UK to reducing emissions of GHGs and the accompanying Impact Assessment sets out that within the context of global efforts to limit climate change the benefits to the UK will be greater than the costs. However, the department has not made specific estimates of the savings to the public purse from a move to a low carbon economy as the precise fiscal impact of carbon emission reductions will depend on the mix of policies used.</p><p> </p><p>For this reason individual assessments of the fiscal impacts of policies have been made and published where appropriate.
