answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/01/2023 answer text <p>Education is a devolved matter and this response outlines the information for England only.</p><p>The department wants more people from disadvantaged backgrounds to benefit from apprenticeships at all levels, and is working to expand degree apprenticeships, ensuring these opportunities are accessible to young people. We are making up to £8 million available in the 2022/23 financial year to Higher Education (HE) institutions through the Strategic Priorities Grant to enable them to expand provision and form new employer partnerships.</p><p>Our ‘Get the Jump’ skills for life campaign is raising awareness and understanding of all the different education and training pathways for young people aged 14-19. The campaign will help to raise awareness of T-levels, apprenticeships and higher technical qualifications, so young people can make more informed decisions about their future.</p><p>The department continues to increase outreach to students of all backgrounds through the Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge (ASK) programme. The ASK programme provides schools and further education colleges across England with a free bespoke package of comprehensive information and support about apprenticeships, ensuring that students of all backgrounds are aware of the benefits of apprenticeships, including degree apprenticeships.</p><p>The department works with employers to showcase higher and degree apprenticeship vacancies on GOV.UK. The listing published in November featured over 300 vacancies across the country from over 60 employers. These vacancies are promoted in schools and colleges through the ASK programme.</p><p>The department is working with the Office for Students to improve access to and participation in HE. The payment comprises the Energy Bills Support Scheme (£400) and the Alternative Fuel Payment (£200), recognising the widespread use of other fuels for heating in Northern Ireland. The £600 payment can be used for any fuel; direct debit customers receive the payment direct to their bank account. Credit or keypad prepayment meter customers are receiving vouchers which can be redeemed at a Post Office and paid into a bank account. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/01/2023 answer text <p>We provided the police, local authorities and other local agencies with a range of flexible tools and powers that they can use to respond quickly and effectively to ASB through the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 (the ‘2014 Act’).</p><p>The statutory guidance makes clear on page 26 that any use of the powers in the 2014 Act must be compliant with the Equality Act 2010. Therefore, we are currently delivering a Deposit Return Scheme that follows the ‘return to retail’ model as used internationally in other DRS’s. We do recognise the benefits of a digital model and remain encouraged and interested in seeing the continued testing of the feasibility for introducing a digital scheme in the future. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/01/2023 answer text <p>We want to increase the recycling of packaging material, food and other recyclable material in the ‘non-household’ municipal sector, which includes businesses, public organisations (e.g. schools, universities, hospitals and government buildings) and other organisations. This will help us to increase the amount of material that we recycle and reduce the amount of waste that we send to landfill.</p><p><br> Following support in response to initial consultation, the Environment Act 2021 stipulates that all businesses will be required to arrange for the collection of a core set of materials (glass; paper and card; plastic; metal; and food waste) for recycling in England</p><p><br> In 2021 we published a second consultation on recycling consistency. On 23 January we announced sanctions on the deputy Prosecutor General and six other individuals and entities responsible for the regime's violent crackdown on protestors; this brings to 50 the number of new designations since October 2022 under the UK's Iran Human Rights regime.
